Mix your white-on-white backgrounds, and mix your red, white, and black fabrics. You can keep using the black for the sashing, but can mix and match the borders. End result is a scrappy dresden plate quilt. You could even alternate the dresden plate that you did with one having the rounded outer edges - which would give you practice doing curves.
