Well, the list price thing is why I switched most of my shopping to Barnes & Noble. They at least have a discount card you can buy, and I buy enough books to make it worthwhile. Borders didn't have one until close to the end. I got one, bought maybe one book with it... so I ought to get over there and use it before all the good books are gone.

I'd much rather buy a book in a store. Having them delivered means I have to wait for them, and too often, they aren't in perfect shape. If it's new, I want it in perfect shape.

But Amazon and even B&N.com are really cutting into the physical stores' profits. I don't suppose that trend will reverse.
