All is well and Misty is fitting in wonderfully, I kept her separated for much of the week when we weren't home and because she was on some antibiotics for a slight cold and eye infection, but my older cat Schmoo has been a trooper with only hissing and growling, they've been able to be within feet without a major blowout and I think Misty has figured out her place. Today I left them alone together for the afternoon and they were both sleeping in the same room when I got home. Schmoo isn't chasing her and seems interested in what she's doing.

They are eating out of each other's food dishes and Schmoo, who goes outside, isn't afraid to come back in so that's a good thing.

Tonight I will let Misty roam the house instead of keeping her in her bedroom during the night and see what happens, either way I think come Monday, they will be together during the day now.

Thanks to all with the great advice and it worked and all is well with both little darlings. Misty is such a laid back and loveable mush, she will fit right in.

I'm amazed it only took a week to settle in for the most part.
