Google wooden clothespins and you come up with several sources. Or do as I do, and haunt estate sales and resale shops! Have a nice collection from estate sales.
And you're right, the newer ones are cheesy! These old ones last forever, if they get discolored, I soak them in bleach solution and dry out in the sun on a table.
