Confused about Retayne/Synthrapol. I have used Retayne after my quilt was together,and have not seen any dye running. I have never used Synthrapol before. I have bought a lot of batiks for a quilt and have seen from this board that the batiks run. Should I use the Synthrapol before I cut the fabric or after I make the quilt? Does it matter? (I had used the Retayne before on some black sweaters and tshirts that were new and the dye ran, and the water was black, but then I put the Retayne in the water and the dye disappeared! The water was clear again! Shirts are still black!)
