I made this quilt for my 90-year old mom. It was my first time setting blocks on point (and I now have a real appreciation for those of you who do this regularly!), first time measuring the border strips using the center inches as a guide, and my first time using Minkee fabric (on the back). Thanks to Mari Marike for posting her picture (Pink Graduation Quilt) and the tutorial (http://www.cluckclucksew.com/2011/06...ar-blocks.html). I loved how 'forgiving' this block was to make, since the blocks are 'squared up', and since I am not a perfectionist! I used the SEARCH feature, and got lots of informaton about sewing with the Minkee. I tied the quilt, because I was afraid of the stretchiness, and because it has the raised dots on the back. The border fabric is dark blue, although it looks black in the picture. Thanks for looking...
