She is 6 mo old. DH got her from the Humane Society shelter. She is very shy, I hope she will not be afraid anymore.
Give her another couple of weeks and she probably won't show as much fear. From looking at the last picture, she is feeling safe, so she is definitely settling in.
I can tell you after many, many years of rescue work, they only expose their bellies when they feel safe. In our house, we always looks for the belly roll. That is an indication that they know that there is nothing to fear in this place and that they are being and will be taken care of.
Their natural instinct is to protect their underside as this is where they are most vulnerable. When the roll on their back that is basically a signal to you that they understand that you love them and will protect them from the bad stuff.
Congrats again - she is beautiful, but then again, I am partial to the Siamese-esque babies.
