Pam, I know what you mean. I washed my avatar quilt just before I gave it to Gramps. My mom asked me if I really wanted to do that! LOL. I told her I'd rather it fall apart BEFORE I gave it to him, rather than after. Fortunately it survived, and in fact has been washed more than 10 times!
