There is something about being the magical age of 8 to learn to quilt, or learn other arts!!
I onetime taught an 8 yr old to weave on a floor loom. She was better at it than most adults.
I will bet, if you let her go at her own pace, helping her with "How to" advice, she will make some fantastic wall quilts!
