Anything worthwhile takes time. No one is standing behind you to punish you if you don't work faster, you aren't working in a factory where time and product are measured.
Take your time and the job will be done right, it is the doing it over that wastes time. Do it right the first time no matter how long it takes. Who is to know how long you worked on something?
If I had to work in a time frame I would give up sewing anything. I do it to relax.
