Oh, I am so sorry for you. I do hope that your quilts will all wash perfectly. Having married into a family where there were four teenage boys, I know that anything is pretty much fair game when parents aren't around, even if you think you have explained everything pretty thoroughly. "In the moment" can sometimes take over and less-than-perfect results happen. It would be my guess that the boys just thought that those quilts were there to use, and proceeded to do so, if the quilts were not displayed on the wall. (Hanging on a wall would be a different story!) We did have a storage room where certain items were locked up if we had to leave and teenagers were at home "taking care of things", lol! One time, around Christmas, one of the boys removed a human hair wig I had from it's wig storage case and used the case to wrap a gift for his girlfriend! I just never thought a boy would have any interest in a wig case.....oh, well....I found a better place to store my wig. Ha!
