Trina,

While searching links for thimbles, I found your posting and I did add the open top thimbles to our website. Here is the link for those who are interested.
Thanks,
Harry

First, Good's had fabric on sale for $1.79/yard!!! I don't even want to admit how much fabric I brought home, but I am tickled pink.

Even more exciting to me (which is hard to believe) is that I finally found the perfect thimble for me. It's called Lady Fingers Thimble made by Colonial. I got the one with the open top: http://www.colonialneedle.com/cgi-bi...nal&search=yes It's the second one down from the top. Has this rubbery-type material on it, and the needle sticks without poking (don't know how). I am finding I have wonderful control, and with the open top I don't have to trim my nails so short to use it.

Another VERY cool thing I brought home was an 1870 Wheeler & Wilson treadle in awesome condition. It currently sits in my foyer, and reminds me just how far sewing machines have come. Beautiful piece of art in my opinion: http://home-and-garden.webshots.com/...80336166QyDGOW

I know many out there had the same dielemma of finding a thimble you like, so I figured I'd share. Don't know why I didn't see these earlier, but I do recommend them. Maybe our fellow memember Harry would be able to get some for his store?

Still trying to find time to unpack and get caught up with work stuff. Enjoy your day!

Trina the very Happy Treadler :)
