I drain mine by squeezing the top down and drain it into the kitties bowl. They love me on those days LOL :D
That's what I do too. The kitties make a fuss when they hear the manual can opener, and they hang around in the kitchen until they're sure I'm going to give them a treat. And then... they like the fishy water better than the fish. That's a puzzle, but I get to eat tuna.
