personally, i've had to completely give up on participating in swaps. NOT because i've been "stiffed" or let down in any way by the other players.

it's because i am horribly unreliable about such things. i'm pretty efficient at the office, but when it comes to swaps ... i can't meet a deadline to save my life. :? for example, i made a blocks ages ago for a group quilt. all i had to do was stick it into the mail. BUT, there it sits on my kitchen counter ... and the quilt is long-ago done and sent to the recipient.

the thing is ... there will sometimes be at least one like me in a swap group. that's reality. if you can "play" and not let your feelings get hurt, or be overly disappointed by the me-types, then swaps and other mail-it-in group activities are truly great fun. just don't let "us" ruin it for you.
