I was just wondering if anyone does the final sewing down by machine? I do it once in a while by machine sewing to the back then turn to front and machine stitch that down. I do that if the quilt will get rugged wear by children. Prefer the look of the hand sewn 'though.
I agree with you totally. I do binding on machine for some kids quilts although I think that hans sewing is just a sturdy. After all that's all they had before machines and their quilts did not get washed gently or used gently.
