Once the gold is gone its gone. If you think you can gold leaf it you can try but its not easy as if looks. I watched my buddy do the gold leaf on a car I shot and it was really amazing how it works. He painted the glue on then let it tack up then placed the gold leaf over it. After he was finished then I shot another 2 gallons of clear over it.
