To add to the look how about adding a smaller quilt over one of the footposts, if that's the right word. Also I agree with Sushi's suggestion of trying it horizontally. The bottom border is hidden behind the pillows and a change in direction would show the entire beautiful quilt. (But it also looks good the way you have it)
