I also use an HP printer. I use June Tailor Sew In Colorfast Fabric Sheets for Ink Jet Printer. Print at normal, plain paper setting. Allow to dry for @ 10 minutes. Remove paper backing. Set iron to cotton setting, no steam. Iron, face up for 2 minutes to set the ink. Rinse in cold water. Lay flat to dry. Dab off excess water with a paper towel. Iron again on cotton setting, no steam. Wash in cold water only. I have washed my projects with cold water and fabric softener, no detergent. Works great!
