I definitely can understand. Can't figure out if my daughter is mean spirited concerning my quilting or just plain jealous! I recently was at a show with daughter as escort. I was handing out business cards and talking shop. Daughter came up to a group of people including and in a loud, rude voice, she said, "Mom, what are you doing passing out cards. Nobody wants to buy your junk!" I wanted to disappear... Out of nowhere this sweet little lady walked over to her and looking daughter straight in the eye said, "Your mother put in a lot of work on this 'junk'. My advice to you is to stop and think about how you just made her feel. While you are thinking about that, why don't you check out what the word RESPECT means and try to find some." I nearly fainted on the spot!
