Yup it is chenille! It is so soft and cuddly. I have made it a project of mine to make quilts for the babies born into our family. I made one last year...this year...there are four babies due plus a friend of mine! I have already started on a quilt for the twins. A rag quilt..I made up my own pattern..I am ready to start sewing so it should be posted up here soon. (I hope)
