You just missed the Tri State Mennonite World Relief Auction of quilts and other donated items. My friend and I spent all day Sat., July 16 there. I bought one major quilt and a lot of smaller ones. Most expensive quilt was a double wedding ring and it went for $2000. Of course I did not buy that one. They had a list of all things being sold and the times so you could go out and get lunch on the county fair grounds. Jane Benson owns the Four Seasons Stitchery in Grantsville, Md. and donated quilts plus helped with the sale. I believe there is a fabric store in nearby Oakland but I am not sure. Other Amish owned fabric stores are around too, one on the Springs Road just north of Four Seasons. Just ask. My brother has a condo on the ski slope there and my friend's is across from his but on the lake. We are going back there again Aug.19th. Lots of stuff to do. Also, if you get a chance, go to Swallow Falls. It is very nice, the water is cool, and very picturesque. Have fun.
