I used to have a Touch and Sew. I recall that older Singer machine needles are different from Schmetz and the other needles used in newer machines - maybe in all Singers, tho' I'm not sure about the newer ones. I was told to not use Singer needles in my first computerized machine by the dealer who knew that I had been using a Touch and Sew.
