Lily's hen, Lucy has hatched two chicks. She had twelve eggs in total but one disappeared (she probably ate it!). She's still sitting on the other nine but I don't think there's much chance as the chicks hatched Monday. However, Mummy and chicks have all eaten and drunk so I'll leave her another day then take the rest of the eggs away so she can get on with rearing the chicks she's got. Not a great result but my neighbour, who gave me the eggs (we don't have a cockerel) said their cockerel wasn't very 'puissant' which is French for, literally, powerful but you get what she means! :lol:

Lucy and her chicks - one black one yellow! Yes I know they're cute now but in 16 weeks they'll look more like dinner! I may keep the dark one if it's a hen though, just for some variety in my chicken run - all my current hens are red except one white!
