I teach a beginning quilters class and occassionally I will quilt a top for them. They usually include my name but I have asked them not to as I feel the recipient doesn't know me and it detracts from them being the giver of the gift. However that said I quilt tops for a friend that is a full time quilt instructor at several of the local shops and she always insists on adding quilted by Victoria to her labels. So I think maybe it's just preference.
