I'm thinking of using the hot fix rhinestones and getting the little applicator that heats up and applies the rhinestone. Sounds easy enough, which usually means it'll be a nightmare. :)
I've done the hot fix rhinestones on small projects that were purely for decoration. The applicator is easy to use except that, after a few stones are set, it gets sticky and you will need a straight pin to push the stone out of the end of the applicator. At the Dallas quilt show three or four years ago, several of the bed size quilts were decorated with rhinestones. froggyintexas
