I would agree with the $50 to $70. Go to your local fabric store and price the fabric, batting and backing for what you would have to spend for the quilt. Add your time and the quilting. It adds up fast and you will be surprised at the total once you add everything up. I have never sold any of my projects but I made a few quilts for a conference my daughter worked on this past spring. They raffled off the quilts and used the money for their local children's hospital. 2012 they are going to ask for donation of hand made crafts and I expect they will do very well again. I know I have already taken a lot of my scraps and created 3 lap quilts. Baby and Kids theme will be my next venture.
