How true!! I make blankets and quilts for Project Linus, and sadly, those self absorbed, selfish people will not ever know the satisfaction and mental rewards of doing for others. The occasional Thank You note to our chapter, or photos of some of the kids' faces gives rewards that money couldn't give.
I say a prayer for each blanket, that God will bless the child that recieves it. I give from the heart. I don't take well to demands. Baby showers for distantly known people might get crocheted booties.
I know some people who pray while they are crafting something. Those feelings have got to stay with the object!
