Clutch purses are very stylish and "now" (spoken as a secret fashion junkie!). They can have a thin strap (often chain, maybe with a ribbon threaded through) or just be left as hand-held. Personally I think the hand-held ones are far more elegant. I think in silver satin, possibly with blue beading or trim, they'd look very nice against the dresses.
