We live in Bear Country - and for the most part we only see them during fruit season. They need their nourishment too. They really don't bother us and believe me they are just as scared of us as we are of them. We are very rural and everybody in this area has bear stories. The only thing that scares me is Mountain Lions - they are truly predators - don't see much of them but they are out there.
