Welcome from Stony Brook, NY. Any circle block is difficult to piece. First thing I do is use a LOT of sizing on the fabric before I cut. Then I sew the blades together by twos until I get to halves. Then sew each half together. Honestly, one thing I do is make sure I have a circle to cover the middle joints. It hides a lot of ills. ;P
