the only thing I can think of, is take the needle with you to the fabric store, and compare length, thickness, size of needle's eye, and compare the point to others for sharpness/roundness, whatever it looks like.
Have you looked on DMC, Herschnerrs or other embroidery/needlepoint sites for their reccommendations?
