When my Mom was getting ready to leave (die) she absolutely refused to eat. The spiritual counselor there said that sometimes it's the body's way of getting ready for the spirit to be set free. And giving IV's, etc. was not doing her a kindness.
I do hope your dogs are with you as long as they are able to be. They look like they are sweet tempered beings.
The older I get, the less certain I am about everything. Especially life and death issues.
