I cannot add too many suggestions as most of them have been posted already. I LOVE green and never met a green I didn't like until a non quilting buddy gave me a ton of this putrid, olivey nasty green. I cut some squares of it and put it in a "feely" top. I make them for disabled children. I use lots of different materials, but only in squares, no bias or fun patterns. That way, the kids run their hands over the top and they feel different. It can help children with some sensory problems to calm down.

I used the rest as backing for some flower shaped pincushions I made. I found that the pin cushions slide around the table a LOT less if there is corduroy on the back.
