Using your free arm is the easiest way. Since I didn't want to remove my sewing table for such a small area, I just pulled the bottom off to the side. Slide your hand inside and just pull the bottom back. There is enough room to do it without being too difficult. If you go much smaller, it will become a bit harder, kind of like working on doll clothes. But if you go bigger, it will be even easier.
