There is a really interesting article on hand applique in the American Quilter mag. this month (I got mine yesterday). Its about using coffee filters to partially stitch your design together prior to putting it on your background. Really helps to get everything arranged properly vs doing it piece by piece....If you get the opportunity to read it...you should.

It's getting harder to find mags if u don't have a subscription, and on price? the stores are showing no mercy on a single issue!
I'm going to try to remember to check at Joann's for it. I like to read up on all kinds of techniques for anything I'm interested in doing.
