The backing is just yardage sewn together. I think it was 3-4 yards for the back.
Oh! I think I know what you did. You created the entire quilt and then put each block/section..one at a time into your hoop to quilt it with your embroidery pattern?

Well, I am so glad to find out about this!!! I have an embroidery machine, too, and never even thought about this way of quilting!!! DUH!! I even bought a HQ 16 quilting machine last year to do my quilts. :)
