Here is what I do, I listened to all they have to say, look them right in the eye, say "now that is some thing to think about, thanks for your input" and go do what ever it is I was going to do any way. They only want to know that you HEAR them. If they don't feel like you heard what they wanted to say they will keep repeating it. You on the other hand have no obligation to do anything about what they had to say.
