Nancia,

There is also a fusible batting that you can use instead of the spray. It is a little more expensive because of the glue part, but you just iron the back then iron on the front and they you quilt away. Until I got my longarm, this is what I used to do for smaller quilts. 95% of the time no issues, when there way, was just a small tuck along a side because of who knows what. maybe this will help.
