This top has been in the works for 11 years! LOL!!! It started when I took a class at a LQS, but was unable to finish. It got put away. When I recently got it back out, I realized that even though we had a pattern (was supposed to be a color wash design), that we weren't doing it by the pattern and it had become a bargello heart! I only had the bottom left half done, so was able to mirror the bottom right half. I then had to go on Excel and graph out the top half. Last night I was still "tweaking" the pattern.

Now I need some advise on the borders. The finished top is 97" x 72". Is it ok to just make the borders the same size on the top and sides to keep the oblong shape and turn it into a king size quilt? Also, what type of quilting should be done on a quilt like this - stippling on the middle, maybe feathered hearts on the borders? Any ideas are appreciated.
