Ok I am on the look out for a good heavy iron. I don't use the steam feature I want to IRON wrinkles out and press seams. I already have a steamer. I have a Panasonic one that dh got me about 14 years ago, it still works great but I have scratches no gouges on the plate and I know it's only a matter time before they start to rust or mar my fabric. I acquired said scratches when I didn't know my board cover and it's many small tears developed a large rip right down to the metal board (which I've had about 20 years old and from a yard sale) and it's cute rust spots.
I really would like a 1500-1700 watt and weight around 4-5 pounds, any help on what one is best.
