Define crumb. I have seen a quilt made from the odd shapes leftover from appliques. All sewn together any which way to create fabric & then trimmed to squares. Most of the pieces finished were about the size of my thumbnail. I know I'd never have the patience to do that.
Wouldn't take much of one of those to make a dolly quilt for a DD or DGD...and be adorable!! :)
