And I thought my husband was special! Aren't we lucky, the lucky ones of us anyway?
My DH
1) is an enabler/pusher when it comes to fabrics and quilting gadgets (I have to say NO often);
2) "consults" with me when I have a conflict or problem about fabric, colors, etc. (once when I had finished a sailing ship in a storm and was disappointed that it was so "flat" he glanced at it and said "needs lightning" and it MADE the quilt!
3) vacumns the quilt room when he thinks its gone beyond reasonable and convinces me its OK, he wasn't doing anything special anyway (implying that I am!)
4) goes to quilt shops often with me and to shows (when they are far away or on a trip.... we stopped in Sisters, Oregon, this year to see the Gees Bend ladies and the big day on Saturday... but Sisters is only about 8 hours away!
5) holds the rollers I use when do queen/king quilts so I can do the quilting myself;
6) has been in from the very beginning when I decided to do a quilt for US (the first we will keep), the theme being the Sonora desert where he lived with the Tohono o'odam for a year or two and loves dearly and deserves totally.
Nope, he's not for sale or trade. If I ever got rid of him I'd probably lose all the kids and grandkids.... so it ain't gong to happen :>)
