That was a pretty good tutorial! I like diagonal joins in my strips, but this would be great for someone who needs help with it. I have a couple of suggestions though:
1) be sure to measure your fabric width as many are not 44" anymore. I often cut 1 extra strip just in case, and it will get used eventually if I don't.
2) use spray starch! It really helps control the stretch in some fabrics, so when you get back to the start, it fits together without stretching.
