This is going to sound like a very "primary" question to you but it is my first time machine quilting. I just figured out how to put the walking foot on my new machine (a Baby Lock Quilters Choice) and I am attempting to quilt a small baby quilt. My question is, when you come to the end of outlining a block and want to go to the next block, do you backstitch and cut the thread and move over to the next block or do you stitch over to it and continue sewing? Does this make sense to you? I can't figure out how you get from one spot to another without the stitches showing.
