Thanks to everyone for their good wishes for my grandson, and for my DH! My grandson just turned 5 and now will be able to start kindergarten with the rest of his class, instead of being on bed rest to recover from a surgery. My son and daughter-in-law are on cloud 9! The sock monkey has a bandaid on the back of the velcro to keep the "wound" closed, but I've offered to "suture" it closed. Wonder which option grandson will choose?
