I am having the same issue. I've tried lots of pinning but the edges of fabric #5 (center) still come out. I've had to open up the seams and force them back in. Any other suggestions besides lots of pins? A way to fold or pull the fabric, maybe?
I know getting the seam edge to edge can be a little tricky. I guess the only suggestion is to take your time and line things up, pin where the fabric seems to want to pull away. I also press my fabric first, so it seems to be a little more 'stiff', making it a bit easier to work with.
