Cute!! So glad you snatched it up. Those pixies look like the little "boo boo's" in the Mabel Lucie Atwell{1879-1964} pictures. They are meant to protect babies and little children. There was a fabric line that came out in about 2001 featuring them and little children. I still have some. You may be able to get the rust out of the background fabric with a product called Iron Out. Do a test spot first. {It is used for toilets, sinks, tubs, and white clothes.} Take care not to use it on colors. Enjoy your quilt!
