My grandmother had a similar quilt - the butterflies outlined with a black blanket stitch. So charming! :)
I have a quilt that I watched my great-aunt embroider in early 40's, on sugar sacking. Material could have been in the box since 30's. since nop scrap could be thrown away in the Great Depression--or ever after!! :lol: :lol:
