I've attached 2 photos of the quilt and the sock monkey I made, with a repaired heart tucked into a velcro pocket on his chest. The best part - the doctors did a heart catherization procedure, a much less invasive procedure, and discovered no problems! The original echocardiogram evidently was in error. He was born with Tetrology of Fallot, a deformed heart and had major surgery when he was 6 months old and blue, to reconstruct his heart. Today is my husband's 70th birthday and he said this news was the best present ever!
So happy to hear all is well for the little one and great birthday gift for sure. To have someone so thoughtful to send the material was great. Everyone on here is so nice. I have been writing here and talking and said I could not find humming bird fabric colorful, etc. and she sent me a pic of some fabs she had and she just sent them to me. Also, a book I was looking all over for and another great quilter sent it to me.....there are no better friends than quilter friends for sure.
