In my area, sales of crafted items seem to have really dropped off. I was at a town festival yesterday that had a whole area set up with a variety of booths selling everything from fresh honey to sunglasses and t-shirts. I felt so sorry for the lady with the beautifully stitched resonably priced craft items. They just were not selling. She had bibs, aprons, pot holders, place mats, casserole carriers, etc made in modern fabric and well stitched. My daughter noticed them first and said "Mom, she isn't even charging enough to hardly pay for her fabic" and they still weren't moving. Maybe it was too hot or the wrong venue but I bet she was sorry she came.
